In December 2010, Coilean and I accompanied the seventh grade classes to a Long Term Health Care Facility.  The kids loved her and the residents sat for long periods of time just stroking her.  The fact that she had lost a limb due to cancer and was currently undergoing chemo made her even more relatable.
